Remote ISTE 2010!

CRSTE and Ascend invite you to attend Remote ISTE and learn “best practices” in math intervention as we describe strategies that achieved astounding results in math performance from such school districts as; Calcasieu Parish- Louisiana, Brazosport ISD-Texas, Douglas High School-Wyoming, Montgomery Junior High, Texas, Aspen Valley School-Colorado, Oxford Hills Middle School-Maine, Banks Stephens Middle School-Georgia and Shellbyville High School –Illinois.

Gain the knowledge you need to target your students for Math interventions and develop a program that diversifies intervention by student needs.  Learn how to motivate ‘at promise” students to create a positive impact in math score.   Explore ways to bring your test scores up as much as two grade levels in one year!  Make your 2010-2011 a winning year by bringing out the personal best in each of your students!

Explore proven implementation strategies and documented success of Calcasieu Parish School District's usage of online resources for their Tier II, III students. Dr Washington will share how their initiative addressed their students’ individual needs in math and achieved important performance gains! Participation in this intervention program has decreased their course failure rate in Algebra I and other math courses significantly. Question this session's presenter as she shares stories from different educators’ perspectives how they empowered students by connecting, engaging, motivating their learners.

You will learn:

1) “Best Practices” on how other districts have successfully employed online solutions as their Response to Intervention

2) Methods to identify students for Tier II and III Math interventions

4) How to raise your test scores and drive grade level gains

6) Strategies for student self-motivation to achieve math success

7) We will give you step-by-step implementation plans for a variety of scenarios to include how to structure the intervention teaching week, staffing considerations, student motivation and technology infrastructure

Attendees will be entered for a chance to win a complimentary 6 month 50 user subscriptions to Ascend Math or an Amazon gift card!

There is a strong synergy between CRSTE's vision and Ascend's success in working with “low performing math students” and bringing them up to grade level and beyond!

Ascend Math is proven to drive math proficiency gains of up to two grade levels in a single school year! See our Success Stories

•Title One-
Ascend Math improves teaching and learning for those students “at-promise to succeed” with an individualized Math intervention program.  Ascend is proven to keep students engaged in learning and achieve math proficiency levels of two years or more in a single school year.  Ascend Math offers assistance to the ELL students in a dialect they understand and motivates them to achieve at their own pace.

•IDEA-
Ascend Math addresses each child’s unique needs. Ascend automatically creates IEPs for Special Education students through the use of on-going assessments that identifies skill gaps. Once gaps are identified, students are guided through individualized instructional activities that address the needs of each child to maximize Math gains.

•Education Technology Grants-
Ascend Math utilizes the power of web-based technology to identify skill gaps regardless of grade level. Ascend then guides students through an individual instructional path allowing students to only focus on areas in which they need improvement.

Ascend’s powerful reporting delivers pre- and post- test results in a format that makes it easy to assimilate for federal accountability reporting. And Ascend is aligned to both state and core curriculum standards.
