In April 2009 I founded The Capital Region Society for Technology in Education (CRSTE) to promote communication and collaboration across the national capital region. Over the past two years, we have blazed new trails in pushing the online dialogue, recognizing excellence in leadership, and providing worldwide world-class online professional development well ahead of the curve. I am proud of everything we have accomplished!
I am writing to share with you that I have resigned from CRSTE to pursue exciting new opportunities in working to transform education for the twenty-first century. I am confident that I have put in place the programs and practices necessary for CRSTE to sustain itself, and I leave what we have started in the hands of a very capable board and staff.
I want to specifically thank certain staff members who have made so much of what we have accomplished possible:
Ena Wood for her tireless dedication, hard work and engagement in making CRSTE's promise become a reality.
Julie Mersiowsky for her consistent, faithful and highly professional support of CRSTE initiatives both online and in person.
Aron Sterling for building bridges between CRSTE and North Tier, making it possible for both organizations to benefit from the collaboration.
And thank you to everyone who played a part over the past two years in getting this worthy endeavor off the ground. Please consider playing a role moving forward to continue the CRSTE promise of connecting and collaborating!
