CRSTE Members Receive 10% Discount on AALF Professional Development

AALF offers a 10% discount off the full cost of registration for each of its 2010 online institutes to members of CRSTE.

AALF’s mission is to provide all students with unlimited opportunities to learn and to ensure they have the tools that make this possible. We support educators as they provide ubiquitous access to technology in order to transform learning. Among other activities, AALF runs several strands of online institutes designed to provide frameworks for educators planning, implementing, and/or already providing 1:1 laptops to students. These include the 21 Steps to 21st Century Learning® Institutes and the Next Steps Institutes. These institutes typically have participants from several countries and participation has spanned two, three and even four continents at a time. They are designed to not only provide ideas and information, but to stimulate conversations and provide opportunities for educators with similar visions and goals to support each other, no matter where they are globally.

CRSTE is a different kind of professional organization. Designed to meet the needs of 21st century educators, CRSTE promotes collaboration among existing professional education and educational technology organizations. Free of traditional geographic and political boundaries, CRSTE reaches out to educators across the national capital region and around the world. We promote the global sharing of ideas, energies and resources, modeling the collaborative skills necessary in the Information Age.

CRSTE embraces administrators, technical staff, teachers, pre-service teachers, higher education and business, serving 35,000 members across the region. Working with existing organizations that promote technology at state and local levels, CRSTE promotes synergy by offering an economy of scale that minimizes a duplication of efforts and creates opportunity for savings. Advocacy, leadership and group purchasing are promoted as opportunities arise.
