On Tuesday, June 29, 2010, CRSTE hosted 20 people Face-to-face ad 40 people online via its Elluminate room, taking part in live events from the ISTE conference in Denver, Colorado. Sponsored by Ascend Math, this day-long event included educators from across the CRSTE region, from around the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Europe!
On site at Germanna Community College, educators sat in comfortable flexible groups and enjoyed a live feed from Denver for each event during the day. Breakfast was provided by Panera Bread and lunch by the Honey-Baled Ham Company. Educators on Elluminate had the added convenience of attending from work or home and taking breaks as needed from wherever they had an Internet connection.
Feedback from the day is being sent to ISTE so that it can continue to plan and develop for future online delivery of its events and services to members. CRSTE is proud to have assisted in piloting this initiative for ISTE on behalf of its members!
