Description: Who says standards-based, curriculum-rich classrooms have to be boring and static? FUN is not a four-letter word. Come join this workshop to explore free websites and tech tools which can make learning in your class more engaging and fun without throwing standards and curriculum out the window! We’ll create websites on which to collect your tools and ideas using a free web creation and hosting site. In addition to a wealth of resources which will be shared, demonstrated and explored, there will be time to investigate, design, and then share, at least one implementation plan you will be excited to use when you return to school.
What to Bring: Bring your laptop, (Mac, Windows or Linux) with room to save materials and files you may create or collect. Bring your laptop charger and a flash drive to ease sharing of materials or ideas. Please try to have current browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, or similar). A healthy appetite for learning is required; a high level of technology savvy is optional.
