Description: ISTE has rewritten it's National Educational Technology Standards
for Administrators in 2009, is your school leadership team up to speed?
The new standards challenge school administrators to transform education in
their communities by leveraging how well technology is used in their
schools. This 6 hour bootcamp (3 - 2hr sessions) will help administrators
of all technology skill levels become more aware of NETS-A and a host of web
2.0 tools that can help organize your ideas and your staff.
Administrators in this session will develop or grow their Professional Learning
Network by learning to use tools like Ning, Skype and Twitter with other like
minded administrators from around the globe in the session. We will also
develop a month by month plan for implementing Web 2.0 tools in your school
community in 2010-2011!
What
to Bring: This 3 days session will be held online using
Elluminate. Experience using Elluminate is not mandatory, however to get
the most out of the session you will want to sign up for a free trial and be sure that your microphone and sound
settings are working properly.
