Description: The CRSTE Teacher
Tools Wiki is a free, public Wikispaces wiki in which several free and low-cost
Web-based and lightweight client application entries have been pre-loaded.
Participants will register, try at least one tool, comment on a tool they have
tried, and add at least one new tool to the wiki.
CRSTE Teacher Tools Wiki participants will:
Register
for a Wikispaces account at http://www.wikispaces.com
Join the
CRSTE Teacher Tools Wiki http://crstetools.wikispaces.com –if already a
member, please remember to register for the Bootcamp participating in this
activity. All fees go to CRSTE!
Try at
least one tool new to them
Provide
comments on tools they've tried
Engage
in lively forum discussions
Add at
least one new tool to the wiki
The focus of this activity is centered on
commenting, responding, and adding to a collaborative effort. The wiki will
remain a resource for participants and newcomers, open 24/7 year-round. If not
already experienced, participants will also gain familiarity with the
Wikispaces wiki environment. Forum discussions may focus on: Usability,
suggested lesson plans, personal productivity, tools blocked by school
filtering software, add-ons, other references (blogs, wikis, websites)
featuring the tools.
Requirements: Up-to-date browser with multimedia plugins, a valid email address to
register for a wiki account. Activity instructions and Wikispaces video
tutorials are provided on the wiki home page.
